Lead Electrical Engineer Application
The Lead Electrical Engineer proactively mentors and advises the electrical department designers and engineers, ensuring their success and providing technical guidance. They design advanced building systems, prepare contract documents, and perform engineering calculations in coordination with project teams and multiple disciplines. This role will likely involve sign and seal duties of A3 Engineering projects in California and other states across the country. In addition this role includes training, mentoring, and providing leadership, which may involve direct supervision, management, scheduling and likely participation in company leadership decisions. The Lead Electrical Engineer oversee project and design efforts from concept to completion, produce solutions to complex engineering problems, and ensure all deliverables meet scope, schedule, cost, and quality requirements. They are involved in business development, corporate operations, risk management, and the development of tools, resources, and company practices. Additionally, they implement and enforce design and engineering standards, oversee project quality through regular reviews, and may conduct final project evaluations. A3 Engineering exclusively uses Revit & Autodesk Construction Cloud and applicants must have excellent design knowledge and ability in these platforms.
Position Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and 8+ years of Electrical Design Experience

Professional Engineering (PE) license is required.

NCEES Certificate is preferred.

Advanced knowledge and proficiency in engineering design, A&E industry, building and electrical codes, design guides, and standards required. Knowledge applicable to a range of practices, project, or program types.

Knowledge of earned value, contracts, and construction processes and methods.

Excellent knowledge and proficiency of Revit

Excellent knowledge and proficiency of Bluebeam Studio Software

Proficiency of ElumTools, Visual, or AGI software or Equivalent

Strong knowledge of building and electrical codes and the NEC
