Lead Electrical Engineer

Lead Electrical Engineer

Position Description

The Lead Electrical Engineer proactively mentors and advises the electrical department designers and engineers, ensuring their success and providing technical guidance. They design advanced building systems, prepare contract documents, and perform engineering calculations in coordination with project teams and multiple disciplines. This role will likely involve sign and seal duties of A3 Engineering projects in California and other states across the country. In addition this role includes training, mentoring, and providing leadership, which may involve direct supervision, management, scheduling and likely participation in company leadership decisions. The Lead Electrical Engineer oversee project and design efforts from concept to completion, produce solutions to complex engineering problems, and ensure all deliverables meet scope, schedule, cost, and quality requirements. They are involved in business development, corporate operations, risk management, and the development of tools, resources, and company practices. Additionally, they implement and enforce design and engineering standards, oversee project quality through regular reviews, and may conduct final project evaluations. A3 Engineering exclusively uses Revit & Autodesk Construction Cloud and applicants must have excellent design knowledge and ability in these platforms.

Position Description

A3 Engineering is seeking a highly motivated and collaborative Electrical Designer or Engineer to join our growing team. This position is ideal for someone passionate about thoughtful design, team collaboration, and high-performance building systems. The person in this role should have an Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering degree, or 3–7+ years of experience designing electrical systems for commercial, mixed-use, or institutional buildings. This person will be responsible for the design and documentation of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low voltage systems, and for coordinating with other disciplines including mechanical, plumbing, architectural, and structural.

Position Description

The person in the Project Manager position should have a Mechanical, Electrical or Architectural Engineering Degree or have 10+ years of experience designing and/or managing projects within the built environment. This person will responsible for acting as design of the internal project teams and will be the client manager responsible for coordinating multiple disciplines design work including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, architectural, and structural disciplines. Those successful in their role will have strong desire to learn and work as a team, possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and high-quality drawing set organization within their assigned projects. As a project manager you will be responsible for interdisciplinary project coordination, being the direct point of client contact, project billing and accounts receivables, client communication. A3 Engineering exclusively uses AutoDesk Revit and BIM 360 and applicants must be well versed in these platforms.

The person in the Mechanical/Plumbing Designer position should have a Mechanical or Architectural Engineering Degree or have 3-7+ years of experience designing mechanical and/or plumbing HVAC systems. This person will responsible for designing mechanical and/or plumbing systems and for coordinating with other disciplines including electrical, architectural, and structural. Those successful in their role will have strong desire to learn and work as a team, possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and high-quality drawing set organization within their assigned projects. The person applying for the summer internship position should be pursuing a Mechanical, Electrical or Architectural Engineering Degree and should have completed at least 2 years of applicable course study. As an intern, A3 Engineering desires that you will be responsible for designing mechanical and/or plumbing systems in conjunction with project teams. Those successful in their role will have strong desire to learn and work as a team, possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a proactive attitude to help out wherever is needed. A3 Engineering exclusively uses AutoDesk Revit and BIM 360 and ideal applicants will be well versed in these platforms.
