UCSB Fitness Center
This project renovates the UCSB Recreation building’s HVAC system by replacing packaged rooftop units like-for-like to enhance reliability and performance while preserving existing infrastructure compatibility. A3 Engineering delivered Mechanical design and coordination, translating the program into permit-ready construction documentation. The work was executed within existing conditions constraints, with focused field verification and multidisciplinary coordination to reduce RFIs and rework. The resulting systems strategy balanced performance, code compliance, and lifecycle cost while supporting the architectural intent.
